Directions for Use
Shake well before use. A single dose of ½ teaspoonful (2.5 mL) per 25 lbs (11 kg) of body weight. May be taken with or without food, or with water, milk or fruit juice. Do not exceed recommended dosage. On rare occasions a second dose has been found necessary. Combantrin (Pyrantel Pamoate) should not be used by pregnant women or by children under the age of one year. PREVENTION: Even though Combantrin gets rid of worms with a single dose, re-infection and the passing of the problem from one family member to another can occur if the eggs are not completely eradicated. When an infection strikes, make sure to pay extra attention to personal hygiene and household cleanliness.
Practicing the following steps for about a week can help you quickly clear up pinworms and roundworms:
*Keep nails cut and scrubbed
*Be sure everyone washes their hands regularly, particularly after bathroom use and before meals
*Wash all clothing, nightclothes, towels and bed linen thoroughly
*Disinfect toilets, bedroom and laundry area daily
Medicinal Ingredient: Each mL contains 144 mg of pyrantel pamoate equivalent to 50 mg pyrantel base.
Non-Medicinal Ingredients (alphabetically): Citric acid, flavour, glycerin, lecithin, magnesium aluminum silicate, polysorbate 80, povidone, simethicone, sodium benzoate, sorbitol, water.
